About Me
Hello, I'm Lavanya Mani and I'm a member of the University of Pennsylvania Class of 2029, where I plan to pursue an English major. Throughout high school, I held important leadership positions in Speech and Debate; our newspaper, The Globe; and several councils including the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council and School Board Student Advisory. I'm a passionate writer and published poet, and I'm excited to continue my academic and professional journey in Philadelphia.
L3 Writing Program
Inspired by my previous mentorship work with student writers, I founded the L3 Writing Program in the summer of 2023 to offer workshops and lessons empowering students to become stronger and more confident writers. In the age of Sparknotes and AI-generated text, the skills of thorough reading and effective writing are ever more important, which is exactly where L3 comes in. I offer workshops that strengthen various writing skills in a collaborative environment as well as 1-on-1 sessions focused on English coursework, SAT English prep, and application essay writing.
