About L3

The L3 Writing Program is designed to prepare middle school students for the demands of high school and higher education. I believe that writing is the most essential skill a young person can have going into the world. As students get older, they are expected to be able to write with increasing proficiency--something that many students struggle with. Designed by someone with an understanding of the expectations of high school, L3 is built to promote those skills.

Additionally, strong writers will be better able to embrace opportunities. The skills that go into writing a strong essay are the same ones that make an appealing application. Thus, when students get the chance to hone their writers' voice and put tools in their literary toolbox, they are being set up for a lifetime of success.

Individual Sessions

L3 offers 1-on-1 English tutoring and application essay writing sessions for middle and high school students. Tutoring is available for classroom English assignments and SAT English skills. Additionally, we offer essay writing sessions especially geared to answering essay prompts for applications such as those for selective summer programs. Tutoring meetings are priced at $20/hr, while writing sessions are $35/hr. 

Workshops

L3 workshops are designed to cultivate essential writing skills in a collaborative and creative atmosphere. This allows students to learn from each other while cultivating their unique voice. They get the opportunity to critique each other in a growth-oriented atmosphere, which gives them the opportunity to take risks and understand why some things work and others don't.
